So, what is Showit and why should I use it?

Showit is a web-based application that gives you creative control over your website.

No coding.
No design background needed.
No back and forth with a web developer
…Just a passion for your business.

I’ve been working with Showit, as a Design Partner for years and know the program inside and out. So feel free to ask me any questions that you have!

Is it just for photographers?
No. Showit started primarily focusing on catering to the photography industry but the platform can be used by any kind of business. There are event planners, interior designers, florists, coaches, bloggers, restaurants, and many other types of industries using Showit for their website.

What exactly can I customize in the templates?
Everything. Your color palette and font styling is used throughout your website using these settings. Easily change the colors and typography with a few clicks and all the information will automatically update on your site for you.

You can update the layout by dragging and dropping the elements, changing the text, customize with your images, reordering the canvases, deleting content (aka…anything.) The opportunities are endless for you to start with the template as a base and customize it as it is, or use it as a beginning layout to make your own instead of staring at a blank screen.

How does it work with WordPress?
Think of Showit as the “back end” prettiness/styling of your blog. Showit allows you to design the layout of your blog pages using “Placeholder” tags that will automatically populate with your post title, blog content, categories, etc…for you when you post a new design.

You will still login to WordPress and create your posts there, and your posts will be updated with your new blog layout that you created in Showit, without having to think about it again.

Is it responsive?
One of the best parts about Showit is the way you can control the design of the mobile site. A lot of your viewers are looking at your site on their phones or tablets and it’s important that it looks just as great as it does on your Desktop computer.

Will changing to Showit effect my SEO?
SEO basically means how Google ranks your website in organic searches.
I’m not an SEO expert so here’s a great overview about what the heck SEO is and how your site will be affected.

Still on the fence about making the Switch?

• There’s a Facebook group of 5,000+ Showiteers that are not just Showit users, but a community of helpful, like minded people that will embrace you with a warm greeting.

• Showit puts on their United conference every year that allows you to get inspired by keynote speakers, attend break out sessions and styled shoots, and gets you out of the house and connects you to new industry friends!

• They offer a catalogue of videos and written tutorials to answer any question you have about the platform. Plus there’s live chat support in the app that offers a quick and friendly real person to help you out.

I hope that offers an insight into how awesome Showit is and how easy it is to have a website that is completely YOU and connects with your dream clients.

Got a question? Send me a note and I’ll be happy to help!
