Today we’re celebrating the launch of Emma McMahan Photography! Emma is located in Hamilton, Ohio and is a lifestyle and wedding photographer. Her style is best described as dynamic, romantic, whimsical, adventurous, effortless.

Emma McMahan is a lifestyle wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Hamilton Ohio with a passion for fairy tale love stories. Emma documents powerful images that bring emotion and authentic joy and tell the story of each beautiful memory.


We have different areas for the wedding and lifestyle experiences as she specializes in both families and weddings. Her about page captures her sweet and joyful personality and we get a peek into her life behind the lens. Emma introduces us to her family and second shooter for a friendly and genuine connection to her clients.

We sum up her personality in a quick bio as she says, “I love flowers, chocolate and adventures in big cities. I need music to fuel my days and lipstick to complete them. I am an endless romantic and adore people in love.”

Brand Design Interview Questions:

How would your best friends describe you? What do you want to be remembered for?
My best friends would describe me as loyal, forgiving and patient. Maybe gracious. They always call me the mom of the group and have since high school. If they remembered me as the friend they would always count on to be there for them, I would 100% be happy with that <3

Is your ideal client like you? Why or why not?
Yes. My ideal client would be a couple that has a love of fine arts. They would be adventurous and looking for a fun wedding experience. My ideal client would have a strong center in their faith and be welcoming to all, and loving to all. I think that is really important to me. I work with all sorts of families and couples. And at the end of the day, it is their love for each other that connects us the most. I love people in love.

Give your ideal client a name, age, location, style. What are 5 words to represent her?
My ideal bride would be named Blair ( yes, like Waldorf <3) She would be in her mid twenties and either local to the Cincinnati area, or if a destination wedding, from a big city like NYC or San Fran. She loves fashion and the arts. She loves animals and romantic movies. She dresses in designer clothing that is timeless and chic but has a fun feminine twist. Like Kate Space, or Anthropologie. Dynamic, Romantic, Whimsical, Adventurous, Effortless.

Describe your ideal client’s wedding. Where is it? What season? What is the decor?
Blair’s wedding is located at a private estate with a perfected garden that is located on a rolling hillside with views for miles. It is spring or summer, after the blooms are in all their glory. The decor is extravagantly understated. It isn’t glam but gives a definite sense of high end luxury. She would spend most of her budget on her venue, flowers and me. There would be a feeling of being on a European country side.

What has been the proudest moment in your career?
It’s really hard for me to admit pride. But I think the most happy I have been was after a wedding that was not with my ideal client. The wedding day went terribly. Like every single thing went wrong. I was dreading editing the images afterwards and actually put if off for a few days because it was one of those weddings where I really had second guessed out I handled everything. But after the final gallery was delivered to the bride and groom, I received the sweetest review. They were so over the moon with how I made them feel that day. How when everything went wrong, I some how held the wedding day together and made them feel as if nothing at all skipped a beat. They loved their photos and loved how I was able to capture a day that looked the way the felt for each other and not the wedding an outsider would have seen. That was pretty special to me.
